The stress of the holidays can be overwhelming. Making time to see the entire family, buying presents for all of them, cooking, cleaning, travelling, etc... It seems sometimes we can lose track of the good that comes out of it. Time with family and love to be shared. Also, the feeling of ‘giving’ is synonymous with the holidays. Many different charitable organizations ramp up their marketing around this time of year, Aaron's Custom Tying being no different. Trying to channel this stream of giving to deserving organizations has been a joy. And this year, doing what I can to help Take-A-Vet-Fishing has been nothing but that!
Take-A-Vet-Fishing provides water fishing experiences for our country's brave veterans, free of charge! Since their inception, they have got over 4,000 veterans on the water and plan to keep adding new events and new states every year. It’s no secret that fishing and the outdoors in general can be healing. Many of the veterans served by Take-A-Vet-Fishing have found relief from PTSD symptoms and other stressors that burden their daily lives. The community and support these deserving veterans encounter is provided through donations of money, time, and resources.
